Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger Pizza

Posted on June 9, 2009. Filed under: pizza |

I made sliders on Friday night and had tons of the patties leftover. I hate wasting leftovers, so I immediately starting brainstorming what new dish I could make using ingredients I already had on hand. I already had cooked hamburger patties, avocado, cheese and some marinara sauce. So I thought, hmmm, I can run to Trader Joe’s and grab a pizza crust there and make a cheese burger pizza. And I must say, the family was happy I made that decision!

1 refrigerated pizza crust
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese
2 cups cooked hamburger patties, crumbled
1/4 cup crumbled bacon
1 avocado

Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Allow the pizza crust to rest and rise according to package instructions. Then roll it into a 12 inch diameter disc according to package directions.

Spread the marinara sauce onto the dough. Top with 1/2 cup mozzarella, then sprinkle with the ground beef and bacon. Top with the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

Bake it for 9-12 minutes, or until the edges are brown and the cheese is all melted and browning. Cut it into 8 slices then top with slices of avocado. Serve immediately.
